Disability Discharge

If you're disabled you may qualify for Total and Permanent Disability Discharge. That means your physical or mental disability is grounds for review and possible discharge of your student loans. Your physical or mental impairment must:

  • have existed for 60 consecutive months, or
  • is expected to last 60 consecutive months, or
  • is expected to result in death
